Hello! First post of this blog!
So why have I decided to have a site I can call my own?
I wanted a primary site place where I can compile all my works as well as do regular blog updates on things that inspire me.
I used to have a Blogger site which I used to post on- however, it’s been two years since I posted there mainly because i started using Instagram and Facebook more frequently as it allows more interaction and responses with friends. However it is not a proper site to contain all my works.
Social media comes and goes. There will come a time when Instagram and Facebook will lose its steam and it'll be back to square one on developing an online presence on any upcoming new social media platform.
Thus having an independent standalone online space will be more lasting as well as giving me more control over every aspect of the site.
I feel a little restricted trying not to spam my social media outlets with my work-in-progress updates, etc. as I know that not all my friends/followers have the same interests.
My posts were spread out and dispersed on too many social sites: Facebook, Instagram, Google+, Pinterest, Twitter, Blogger.
This website will be my focal point for updates. It’ll be where i can access all my works easily and I can better document my work processes so that i can see how far I’ve developed when I look back through my posts.
Also, being occupied on updating this site will let me be more focused and not be distracted with unimportant feeds.
This website is an extension of myself.
It’ll be searchable, hopefully garnering more attention of people with the same interests, and also to improve myself and work towards being a great designer.
Love,
Sarah Zainal
